Remove the keyboard/top cover (see page 24): remove the two Phillips M2.5×8.7 and four Phillips M2.5×7.2 screws that secure it to the bottom cover, separate and lift the rear edge with a thin plastic tool, release the touchpad board cable and keyboard cable ZIF connectors and the shielding over the keyboard cable ZIF connector, then remove the keyboard/top cover (printed pp.25–27).\n\n3. Remove the speakers (printed page 31): lift the shielding over the battery cable and connector, unplug the battery cable from the system board, unplug the speaker cable from the system board, free it from the routing clips and channel built into the battery, and take out the three Phillips M2.0×4.2 screws that hold the speakers to the bottom cover.\n\n## Replacement\n\n1. Remove the display hinge cover (printed p.44): close the computer, turn it upside down with the front toward you, work along the left and right edges with a case utility tool, or a similar thin plastic tool, to free the hinge cover from the display assembly, then take the hinge cover off.\n\n2. Remove the display bezel (printed p.45): put the computer right side up with its rear facing you and open it as far as it will open, release the top, left and right, and bottom edges of the display bezel from the display assembly, then take the bezel off.\n\n3. Remove the display bracket (printed pp.45–46): remove the two Phillips M2.0×2.9 screws that secure it to the display back cover, then remove it.\n\n4. Remove the display panel (printed p.46): take out the four Phillips M2.0×2.9 screws that hold the panel to the display back cover, swing the top edge of the panel up and forward until it lies upside down on the computer, peel the adhesive support strip away from the display panel cable connector, unplug the display panel cable from the panel, and take the panel off.\n\n## Reassembly\n\n1. Put the replacement display panel back into the display back cover, plug the display panel cable into the panel, put the adhesive support strip back over the display panel cable connector, and tighten the four Phillips M2.0×2.9 screws; then refit the display bracket with its two Phillips M2.0×2.9 screws, the display bezel and the display hinge cover (printed p.46).\n\n2. Plug the battery cable back into the system board, put the speakers back with their three Phillips M2.0×4.2 screws, and put the keyboard/top cover back on, with the touchpad board cable and the keyboard cable going into their ZIF connectors again (printed p.31).\n\n> IMPORTANT: When servicing the computer, be sure that cables are placed in their proper locations during the reassembly process. Improper cable placement can damage the computer.\n",
