Ordered replacement procedure

  1. prepare — Save work, shut down normally through the operating system, disconnect AC power and all external devices. Use a flat grounded ESD-protected workstation and grounded wrist strap; avoid contacts and circuitry, and organize removed hardware. Basis: OEM shutdown/ESD precautions plus editorial organization. HP printed 33, PDF 43; HP printed 30, PDF 40; HP printed 31, PDF 41
  2. access — Loosen the five captive Phillips bottom-cover screws. Starting near the hinges, use the nonconductive, nonmarking tool to release the cover edges; lift the cover away. Basis: OEM procedure paraphrased. HP printed 33, PDF 43; HP printed 34, PDF 44
  3. isolate — Lift the tape over the battery-cable connector and disconnect the battery cable from the system board. Leave the battery pack and its four mounting screws installed. Avoid puncturing the battery or touching its contacts with metal. Basis: OEM procedure paraphrased. HP printed 43, PDF 53; HP printed 44, PDF 54; HP printed 46, PDF 56
  4. disconnect — Unplug the speaker cable from the system board (callout 1). Free the cable connecting the two speakers from the clips along the bottom edge of the battery (callout 2). Basis: OEM procedure paraphrased. HP printed 46, PDF 56
  5. remove — Lift the left and right speakers out at callout 3, with their connecting cable clear. No speaker screws are specified in this removal procedure. Basis: OEM procedure paraphrased. HP printed 46, PDF 56; HP printed 47, PDF 57
  6. install — Place the matching M07107-001 Speaker Kit units in their original left and right seats, keeping the inter-speaker cable clear. The OEM instruction is reverse installation; do not add adhesive or screws. Basis: OEM reverse installation expanded. HP printed 46, PDF 56; HP printed 47, PDF 57
  7. reconnect — Route the inter-speaker cable back through all original clips along the bottom of the battery and reconnect the speaker plug to the system board. Check the routing for pinching. Basis: OEM reverse installation and cable-placement precaution. HP printed 28, PDF 38; HP printed 46, PDF 56; HP printed 47, PDF 57
  8. restore — After checking target retention and cable routing, reconnect the battery cable to the system board and restore the tape over its connector. No battery pack removal occurred. Basis: OEM reverse battery isolation and editorial inspection join. HP printed 44, PDF 54; HP printed 46, PDF 56
  9. close — Refit the bottom cover, engage the edges and tighten its five captive Phillips screws. Restore external connections and AC only after the computer is fully closed. Basis: OEM reverse-cover procedure; editorial closed-unit restoration. HP printed 33, PDF 43; HP printed 34, PDF 44

Proposed checks and review limits

UNPERFORMED editorial check, only after full closure and safe restoration: use an ordinary low-volume stereo sample to check both speakers; a listening check does not establish aftermarket equivalence.

No physical work, live electrical probing, mains-adapter opening, shorting, parts purchase, production import, publication or deployment occurred. Partial/unsupported records are evidence notes, not safe executable instructions. OEM service classification and serial-specific fit still require reviewer attention.
